Celebration of Courtnie’s Life will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday November 17, 2019 at the First Christian Church in Oblong. Private family burial.
Visitation will be held from 11:45 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Sunday November 17, 2019 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Oblong American Legion Post # 219 or the Oblong American Legion Post # 219 Auxiliary with envelopes available at the church or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home P.O. She was born on January 8, 1978 to Randall and Pamela (Fortner) Wheeler. She married Robert Hoke, Annapolis, IL, they later divorced. She then married Daniel Jayne, Newton, IL and they later divorced. Courtnie was a member of the Oblong High School class of 1996. She was very active in the special needs community in Springfield, IL and was also a strong advocate for issues regarding service animals. She was also an avid Star Wars fan. Courtnie was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and cousin and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents Randall and Pamela Wheeler, Oblong, IL; a son Damian P. Hoke, Oblong, IL; a daughter Cerra Jayne, Newton, IL; a brother and sister-in-law Steven and Cynthia Wheeler, Paris, IL; grandparents Harold and Mary Wheeler, Oblong, IL, John Forther, Quincy, IL and Shirley Forther, Springfield, IL. She is also survived by a niece and newphew Trinity Kamplain and Alex Kamplain both of Paris, IL along with several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Preceding her in death was a special Aunt Brenda Fortner.
